Staff very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were quirky with lots of nooks and crannies. furnished to an acceptable standard for the price.
Dislikes:
Our first room was not prepared from the previous occupant (room 8) with old towels, coffee cups, old bed sheets and the bin not emptied. We than had to change rooms as did our children.

I have given a poor rating for the rooms mainly because of the noise of the water system and the horrible white lights in the ceiling. The noise from the water system (sink, shower and toilet) is incredible and quite ear-piercing. I was woken up several times by the person next door going to the toilet and having a late night and early morning shower. The overhead white lights did nothing to make the room welcoming. The room was clean though. Read less

The staff were excellent, very friendly. The beds were comfortable though pillows very hard. The food was very good and the place very clean and welcoming downstairs. However, not value for money.
Dislikes:
The shower room in the room was like a tiny cupboard. The lighting was bad and the mirror was positioned so couldn't get near enough to see as the toilet was in the way.

Bar staff v. friendly. Good beer. Saturday's meal was very good as was breakfast. Only downside was at latter we were told there was no grapefruit juice instead of orange yet this is a pub! What tosh.
Dislikes:
Nothing apart from the grapefruit incident!
